Abu Henderson announces his candidacy for State Representative for District 98.
No stranger to his community, Mr. Henderson has a long record of community involvement and volunteerism.
He has received numerous awards and recognition over the past 20 years. He has served as the President of the Martindale-Brightwood Neighborhood Association since 1994 and has worked for the City of Indianapolis since 1995. He is employed as a Crew-leader (Frontline Manager) and is a member of AFSCME Local 725.
Mr. Henderson started out as a professional boxer and was a member of 1980 United States Olympics team and has traveled around the world. He went on to college to earn his Masters Degree. He his happily married with two children.
Mr. Henderson is running for State Representative because the people are asking for a change, and he is aware of their concerns about drive-by neglect, high property taxes, foreclosures, crime and lack of jobs in the 98th District.
